She made her TV debut in one episode from the TV show McLeod s Daughter. She was a major character as a regular in sci-fi show The 100. The series was based on The 100 novel. She portrayed the role of Commander Lexa, the powerful head of the clans. Following her appearance on Fear the Walking Dead (a television show that focuses on horror and drama) it made her more popular. The show has been highly praised by critics, as well as receiving multiple awards. Jigsaw Girl & The Branch were also short films which she was a part of. She made her feature film debut in the form of a major character in the acclaimed found-footage film Into the Storm .
